As I type this there is a blizzard ripping through NY so it doesn’t quite feel like Spring; however it has to come eventually, right? Right…? *Looks around frantically for some confirmation*

Spring weather or not, clothing stores and boutiques are filling their stores with floral patterns, cute sun dresses, and flowy skirts. I’ve had my eye on a lot of different pieces so I thought I would put them together in a post to inspire my readers to update their Spring wardrobe!

  1. Blossoming Memories Raglan Top in Light Pink – Filly Flair

Filly Flair Spring Floral Top

I think Raglan tops can be so cute and are incredibly comfortable. I love the feminine touch of this top from Filly Flair and I can see myself wearing it with jeans or some little white shorts.

2. Find a Way Floral Maxi Dress – Filly Flair

Filly Flair Maxi Dress

Someone find me a field of flowers I can frolick through while wearing this dress! I think it’s absolutely stunning and it also looks really comfortable and flattering. I only own one maxi dress but it’s my mission to buy more that fit my small frame.

3. Corduroy Mini Skirt – Forever 21

Forever 21 Spring Corduroy Skirt

I love a good corduroy skirt, and this one comes in blush pink! It’s the perfect color for spring and can easily be paired with little sneakers or some nice sandals for a dressier look.

4. Selfie Leslie Rose Print Romper – Forever 21

Forever 21 Spring Romper

I’m actually drooling over this romper. Everything about it is stunningly beautiful and would be great for a wedding, formal dinner, or just because!

5. Cache Rose Gold Sandals – Steve Madden

Steve Madden Spring Sandal

I mean this sandals are rose gold, what’s not to love? The shine on them makes them great for more formal events when you want to look put together but don’t want the pain of wearing heels. They’d also be great paired with jeans and cute top for a more casual day. Little sandals like these ones are really versatile.

6. Classic Navy Blue Top – Lulus

Lulus spring striped top

I’m a sucker for stripes. My closet doesn’t need anymore but I can’t resist this top. The bell sleeves and laced up details are a nice addition to the top and make it different from anything I currently own. I love it paired with white shorts like in the picture!

7. Chic Taupe Clutch – Lulus

Spring Clutch Lulus

I don’t own anything like this little purse, and I think it’s gorgeous. The suede flap is a nice detail and I like that the strap can be taken off and the purse can be held as a clutch.

8. Billabong Sunset View – Navy Blue Striped Shirt Dress

Lulus Spring Striped Dress

Oops more stripes! Told you I couldn’t stay away. This dress looks so comfortable and perfect for those days when wearing pants is just too much work. The back is also gorgeous and could be really pretty with a white bralette underneath.

9. Road Trip Responsibilities Denim Shorts – ModCloth

Mod Cloth Spring Denim Shorts

These shorts are adorable and I need them. I would take the bandana off of the belt loop but I absolutely love the red peeking out from the pockets. It’s such a nice change from the typical denim shorts.

10. Happiness Is a Warm Mug T-Shirt – ModCloth

Spring T-Shirt ModCloth

Nothing like a good t-shirt to cozy on up in at the end of the day, and this one is adorable! I love tea, and I love t-shirts so this is the perfect pairing. A tea-shirt, if you will. Okay, I’m done now.

I talk a lot about drugstore makeup on my blog, but I’ve never put written a post that has a lot of my favorite drugstore products all in one place. I strongly believe that you don’t need to spend a fortune on makeup to achieve a high end look. Drugstore products can be just as good, or sometimes even better, than what you find at Ulta, Sephora, and other high-end shops. There always new products to try and makeup to fall in love with. I hope this post inspires you to try something new; maybe you’ll find a new favorite product!

The Maybelline Fit Me matte + poreless foundation is one of the best foundations I’ve found at the drugstore. It retails for around $5-9 depending on where you buy it from and comes in a glass bottle. The only downside to this product is that there’s no pump. A minor flaw I can look past considering how good this foundation is. I apply it with a fluffy brush or a wet beauty blender and it goes on evenly every time. It’s a medium coverage foundation but is definitely buildable.

Alongside the Maybelline foundation is their Fit Me concealer. I can’t even count how many times I’ve repurchased this product, and that alone is enough to tell me that this is one of the best concealers at the drugstore. It stays all day, doesn’t crease, and is thick enough to cover those dark circles and blemishes. It’s also only $4, you can’t beat that!

Continuing with the Maybelline kick, I really love their Brow Precise micro pencil. The formula is smooth, the tip is very tiny as suggested, and the attached spoolie makes blending out your brows super easy. Careful not to twist the pencil up too high though, it breaks off easily. This pencil also doesn’t last that long, maybe a month of daily use. That still doesn’t stop me from buying this product, it’s too good not to continue using it!

If you read my blog regularly you’re probably sick of reading about the e.l.f. blush and bronzer duo in St. Lucia. It’s so lovely that I couldn’t not include it in this post. Both products are incredibly pigmented and are the perfect shades for us fair skinned folk. The blush and bronzer both have gold micro glitter that provide a gorgeous glow when applied to the face. I’m really excited to try the blush when I have a tan as I think the gold will look especially beautiful then. Bonus! This product is a dupe for Nars Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer.

To top off the e.l.f. blush and bronzer I use their highlighter in Blush Gems. I haven’t found a better drugstore highlighter than this one, and I’ve tried quite a few. The blush pink color is stunning and it lasts from morning to night. It is quite an in your face highlight, so if that’s not your thing I would steer away from this. However I say the more highlight the better, so this one is perfect for me!

If cream products are more your thing this NYX highlighter in Chardonnay Shimmer is a great option! It’s a deeper, more golden highlight than the e.l.f. one but is just as stunning. I apply it with a stippling brush and it stays in place all day. It’s a bit less in your face than the previous highlight so it’s good for if you’re going with a more natural makeup look.

The L’oreal Infallible single eyeshadows have received a lot of hype, and for good reason! These are the most pigmented and smooth eyeshadows I’ve come across at the drugstore. There are plenty of beautiful colors to choose from; my favorites are Amber Rush and Iced Latté. The shadows get even better when you foil them, the color becomes even more pigmented and stunning.

My favorite liquid liner is the Maybelline Line Stiletto. It’s not a pen, but it’s still a felt tipped applicator, which makes applying the product incredibly easy. It’s a very black and pigmented formula that dries down to semi-matte finish. When I use this product to do wing it stays in place all day, which can be hard to find in a liquid liner. This retails for around the $9 mark and has lasted me months. Definitely worth it!

Another highly talked about product is the Super Sizer mascara from Covergirl. I have never loved a mascara more than this one, drugstore or high-end. The brush has two sides, one with short, stubby bristles and another with long and thick bristles. By going back and forth between these two you achieve an incredible false lash effect that makes your eyes pop. The brush is small enough that you can easily use this mascara on your lower lash line as well. I know the second I run out of this mascara I’ll be buying another one.

Another product I’m constantly mentioning on my blog are the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. For $6 they’re the best and cheapest drugstore liquid lipstick you can find. The color range is vast and the formula is consistent with each one. I own 5 or 6 of these at this point and I’ll probably buy more in the future. The formula is velvety and almost mousse like, and they dry down quickly to a nice matte finish. They don’t dry my lips out like a lot of other liquid lipsticks do and they also don’t bunch up throughout the day as you’re reapplying.

This is my holy grail lipstick. If I don’t know what lipstick to pair with the rest of my makeup for the day, I grab my Rimmel by Kate lipstick in 08. It’s the most amazing mauve color that is flattering on almost anyone. It’s comfortable, non drying, and lasts even after drinking a big glass of water. It’s $5-7 so there’s really no excuse to not own this beautiful lipstick.

Last but not least is the NYX Matte Finish setting spray. I use this more in the summer when I’m oily and it does a great job at making my makeup last longer and controlling the oil slick that is my face. The mist could be a bit finer, but it’s still not spraying drops of product so it’s not a huge issue. The 2 oz. bottle lasts a decent amount of time and can be used for foiling as well. NYX also sells a dewy setting spray that I am currently trying out.

That was a long post, and if you stayed around to read the whole thing, thank you! Let me know if you’ve tried these products as well and what you’re go to drugstore makeup is.

NYX has become one of my favorite makeup brands recently. They’re affordable and easily accessible but still feel and look high end. One of my favorite products from them is their soft matte lip creams. This matte liquid lipstick is so comfortable on the lips and lasts a long time. I could eat a bagel and then look in the mirror to see that the lipstick is still on my lips. The formula is creamy and velvety and they go on so smoothly. The one thing I will say about these lipsticks is that they take about 5-10 minutes to completely dry. Once they’re dry though, they’re not going anywhere. I also tend to forget I’m wearing lipstick when I have one of these on as they’re that natural feeling.

From left to right: Istanbul, Prague, Antwerp, and Sydney

I love that every shade is named after a different city; I think it’s a cute touch. I really want to purchase the shades London and Paris as both of those cities hold a special place in my heart. The lip creams can be purchased from Ulta, Target, and CVS for $6-7 or from for $6.

What shades of the lip creams do you love, or want to purchase?
