Ah skincare. There are so many products out there, all claiming to make your skin look so youthful you could be mistaken for a baby. With all of the serums, lotions, toners, and washes it’s hard to know what’s right for your skin, or even what order to use them in! For the longest time, all I did was wash my skin and put on some moisturizer. However, as I’ve gotten older my skincare routine has become quite involved (and takes as much time to complete as an episode of Friends). While I’m not an expert, I have come to know what works well for my oily, acne-prone skin, and what to avoid.

Quick raise of hands, who loves a good face mask? 🙋🏼 Who dislikes spending a crazy amount of money at Sephora for said face mask? 🙋🏼 Seriously, why are the things so expensive? You can find decent ones at Target or the drugstore, but I’m always a little wary of the quality of the ingredients.

I’m not going to be one of those people who talk about how slow January felt. For me, the month flew by and I can’t believe it’s already the 8th day of February. That means there are less than 3 weeks left in this month. I know there are only 3 fewer days in February but man it feels incredibly short.

It’s hard to believe that the first month of 2018 is almost over! January has been pretty good to me in terms of my blog and personal life. This month is shaping up to be my biggest month in terms of traffic yet, which is really exciting. I love seeing all of my hard work starting to pay off. My Instagram is also starting to really take off, which is awesome to see considering the algorithm is less than perfect.

This month I took a quick trip up to Lake Placid with Luke and we had SO much. I tried cross country skiing for the first time, and while it’s not my favorite it’s also not my least favorite thing to do. Luke loves it though so I tried it for his sake! We also attended a world aerial freestyle competition which was incredible to watch. How a person even begins to start skiing off of giant jumps I will never know.

Unfortunately Luke and I will not be together for Valentines Day as he goes back to school tomorrow. Even though we won’t see each other I still plan on sending him a little something to let him know I’m thinking about him. I put together this gift guide to help you find some inspiration for Valentines Day gifts for the people in your life! Whether you’re buying for a friend or your significant other, there’s something for everyone!

If you’re beauty and makeup obsessed like I am (I have no shame) then you know that the Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner is loved by many. The product has a cult following and a lot of people won’t use anything else! While I can’t say I’m that loyal to this product, I do reach for it frequently. One of the downsides of this product, however, is that it’s $22.

Back in October, Huda Beauty launched four new eyeshadow palettes. I was in Sephora one day late last year (it feels weird to think of 2017 as being last year) when I first spotted them. In the line, there are four palettes: Warm Brown, Mauve, Smokey & Electric.
