I’m going to be honest; most of my outfits are pretty plain. I like to think I’m stylish, and when I really put in the effort, I am. However, on a day to day basis I throw on a top, jeans, shoes, and a necklace or some other accessory and call it done. I have a lot of basic pieces, which ends up resulting in a lot of plain, basic outfits. I’m trying to add more interesting pieces to my wardrobe, but it’s a slow process.
When I decided to do an fall outfit post for this week, I knew I wanted to highlight my laid back, easy style. Just because your outfit is easy to throw on, and doesn’t take a lot of thought, doesn’t mean it’s not cute! Basic pieces, dressed up with a statement necklace and a good pair of sunglasses can look just as good as an outfit that tooks tons of planning.

My favorite part of the outfit is the necklace. It’s by SUGARFIX, which is Bauble Bar’s line of jewelry for Target. Better yet, I got it on sale for $6! The stars are so fun and definitely brings some interest to the outfit. My mom gave me the purse for my birthday this year, and I’m obsessed with it. It’s big, but not too big. I can fit a water bottle, 5 tubes of lipstick (because somehow they all end up in my purse), and even a pair of shoes inside.
Olive green is everywhere this season, and I’m here for it. The shade goes with everything, but is still a fun pop of color that is seasonal. The cardigan is from Gap and it’s so cozy. I bought it in white as well because I liked it so much. Buying olive shoes was big for me, as I realized ALL of shoes are either black or brown. I told you, I need to buy more exciting pieces.

Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a white tee. I wear one at least once a week as I love the clean, classic look. A white tee is a nice base for any outfit you may want to throw together. That’s honestly how this one started. I had a white tee-shirt, and then built around that until I had a complete look.
