I am a makeup junkie. I can’t pinpoint an exact moment in my life when I fell in love with makeup, but at some point, I realized that I love lipstick and that a new tube of mascara can make my day. I believe putting on some red lipstick and a pair of high heels can make you feel like the most powerful woman in the world. Or at least make you feel like you can tackle Monday.
I live for new product releases and get a natural high from stepping foot in Sephora. There’s just something about purchasing a new eyeshadow palette to add to my collection. Still, despite the fact that I love to try new products, I also have my ride or die items. These are the products that I can depend on and that I’ve bought over and over and over again.
These bits of makeup are like the best friend you can always turn to, or the one top in your closet you know will always look good. When I’m at a loss in terms of what to do with my makeup, or I simply can’t be bothered, I turn to these items.
The Porefessional Primer – So many people love this product! It’s been a cult classic for a while, and despite having a hefty price tag it is well worth it! On days where my pores look a bit big or I’m going for that flawless look, I grab this product. It’s silky, lightweight, and doesn’t bunch up under your foundation!
Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation – Truly my ride or die combination, this foundation on top of the Porefessional primer looks incredible. I have oily skin and this foundation does a great job of controlling that and looking good all day. The coverage is medium while still looking natural. I can’t tell you how many bottles of this foundation I’ve bought over the years.
Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer – This concealer is so good for being just $5. I use it to cover up any spots or scars after I apply my foundation and it gets the job done. Just like the foundation, I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased this.

Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray – Like I said, I have oily skin. This setting spray nips that in the bud and leaves me shine free all day. I’ve only bought the smaller bottles though because I can’t bring myself to buy the full-size bottle. I just need to bite the bullet and do it; it’s so good! If you have oily skin I would definitely recommend giving this a go.
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara – My friend gave me a tube of this to try and I instantly fell in love. If you’re looking for volume this isn’t the mascara for you, though. Instead, this mascara will give you the longest lashes you’ve ever had! I’d recommend using an eyelash curler before applying this product, but once you do you’ll be golden. I especially love that this mascara doesn’t flake or transfer to my eyelids.
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer – I’ve used this concealer under my eyes for years! It’s brightening and has just the right amount of coverage. Unfortunately, since taking these photos I think it’s stopped being sold! I’ve gone to CVS, Target and Ulta and can’t find it anywhere. Maybe Amazon has it…I just don’t want to give this product up!
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer – I heard so many YouTubers talking this product up that I just had to give it a go. I don’t think I’ve ever hit pan on a product so quickly. I was actually shocked the morning I swirled my brush in the pan and saw shiny silver coming through. This is a very light bronzer and is similar to the Too Faced Milk Cholocate bronzer. On my fair skin, it adds just enough color to my skin while still looking natural. Bonus points that it smells like coconuts and summer!
Coty Airspun Powder – I’m pretty sure I’ve talked this product to death on the blog. I heard about it from Tati on YouTube, and if it’s Tati approved you know it’s good. The powder is finely milled and is perfect for baking and setting your foundation. Once it warms up on your skin it blends your makeup together beautifully without looking cakey. For $6 you can’t go wrong!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Roach – Roach is a lovely deep copper brown shade that makes my blue eyes pop! The formula is very creamy and easy to apply but it stays put! I use this in my lower waterline a lot and it doesn’t budge. If brown liners aren’t your thing this line has so many other shades. There’s truly something for everyone.
M.A.C Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle – This is the first M.A.C product I ever purchased and it’s so lovely! It really does add a soft highlight to the skin that you can kick up a notch if you wet your brush. The glitter in this product doesn’t get all over the rest of the face and it lasts from morning to night. The pan is also so big that I don’t see running out anytime soon.
Real Techniques Beauty Sponge – While this isn’t a makeup product necessarily I just couldn’t leave this sponge out! I’m going to confess something that I feel makes me a bad beauty blogger; I’ve never actually used the O.G Beauty Blender. This sponge from Real Techniques is just so good that I’ve never felt the need to try a $20 beauty sponge. This one is soft and spreads product really well. It also washes nicely with just some soap and water. A two-pack will cost you $11, which is less than one Beauty Blender. I’m calling that a win!
I can’t believe this list doesn’t have a single lipstick on it. I am such a lipstick junkie that I couldn’t just pick one that’s my ride or die.
The rest of these products will be in my collection for a long time to come. Hopefully you enjoyed taking a look at my makeup collection and reading about my favorite products.
