Summer is upon us once again. The flip flops are out, days are spent by the pool, and ice cream becomes an acceptable food to eat for dinner. People also work on their tans and the makeup looks become simpler and focused around lots of highlight. With that in mind, I wanted to create a look that didn’t take long to do and yet was still beautiful and fit for the summer time.
I made sure to use oil controlling products and lots of powder before piling on the highlight. I feel like I mention time and time again that I have oily skin, but it’s important to mention when discussing a makeup look. I’ve really been enjoying the look of no eyeshadow with a small winged eyeliner, so I made a point to include that as well. At only $3, the highlighter from e.l.f. really packs a punch. Lastly, the coral lipstick from Rimmel is one of my all time favorites and really brings the look together.
With this look I baked my under eyes and t-zone, however this is not necessary. I really only do this if I’m going out to someplace special or know I’m taking blog photos! Baking really does help prevent creasing and help prolong your makeup. The Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control setting spray is a new find of mine and it works so well! I’m so happy I discovered this gem just in time for summer.
