Happy New Year! I hope you had a fantastic night, whether you stayed in or went out. I stayed in, as it was below zero and I spent most of the day curled in a ball with a painful ovarian cyst. Makeup is expensive. There is no way around this painful fact. Beauty is pain, and apparently beauty is also money. Foundation can cost you $50, mascara,  which you throw out in 3-4 months, is $25, and a setting powder can run you upwards of $60 in some cases. Hell, even with mostly drugstore products, my full face of makeup still cost me $215!

Nude Lipstick Affordable Makeup

I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to do on a 90Âș plus summer day is cake my face with makeup. No one I know enjoys the feeling of thick makeup melting off their face as it approaches happy hour. Oil and sweat is not equivalent to dewy skin, so less is more when it comes to summer time makeup. With my less is more approach, I like the look of a comfortable, nude lipstick. Bright lipstick is also fun for summer, but for an everyday basis, a nude lip is pretty and close to maintenance free.
